Dropresize is a system tray application that watches a folder for new images and automatically resizes them into a web-friendly size. Currently it’s in a beta stage so don’t be surprised if there are still bugs.
Only jpeg images are supported as of now. But other image formats will be supported in the future updates.
No need to install, just unzip the file into your hard disk and run the .exe file.
Compatible with: Windows XP, Vista, 7
Requires the Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework
Latest changes:
- Added the ability to save EXIF data.

Hi there!
It would be great if there was a conversion option, some kind of “Dropconvert” that converts files to user defined format (gif, jpeg, png…). Multiple folder idea is excellent in this case…

Zoran

I love this program but I need it to work on multiple folders with different settings asap. I tried running it twice but it gives .net errors. I have a folder that converts down to 275 width and one that goes to 1024. I really need it on multiple folders. Your program is perfect otherwise!

Hello Zac,
Thank you for your support on Dropresize! Please bear with me for a little while longer, because I am still working on it. It’s almost finished but there are still some nasty bugs with the multiple folder support, and that is why I have been silent for a while.
@Zoran
Sorry, I think the convert feature will have a little chance to be included in the program. I might make another program for it, but not in the near future (I think).
Regards,
Jay

@semigeek
you had mentioned you liked my comment on option to convert to grayscale & may potentially implement it. Would it also specifically support tiff format as I had also mentioned?

Yes, the TIFF format support is even more possible to happen than the grayscale option.
